Little India

Colorful headgear
Fancy a scarf?
The crossing
Went shopping at the Masjid India Street area with some friends last weekend. Well, not that I bought anything, but I got to use my digicam on the streets (I am the most paranoid person I know when it comes to displaying expensive stuff / money when I go out - I won't even wear a watch when doing groceries ). Baby steps is the way to go, I tell myself.

Just be carefull... Remarkable photographs Mon 9-Feb-2004 02:46

Hello February

February sunset
Fading flower
Inside
The colors and light in the sky was so dramatic today that I couldn't resist taking these shots from my apartment. I especially liked how soft the flowers looked in the natural light (note to self: must use tripod the next time I use macro mode ).

Glad you could make it back...I miss your photographs...
You captured the sky well....
A tripod is a wonderful tool to have...but these are super.

My photography class made a short field trip to Chinatown last weekend. We walked around the older parts of central Kuala Lumpur visiting several Buddhist temples. It was a very interesting experience - I never knew there were so many gems hidden in that busy area's nooks and crannies! (Just when I'd considered myself a KL-lite after living in the city for over 4 years..tsk tsk tsk 0)

hye great pix, makes recall my sweet time living in miri for 5 yrs btw, i luv ur klcc shots...keep 'em comin! Sun 25-Jan-2004 18:42

I went to Miri last September on a job assignment, so I became an accidental tourist. The jungle at Lambir Hill National Park was a deep dark place and did something funny to most of my shots (too much noise and the colors were very flat), so I thought I'd turn some to black and white. One can only hope it's more interesting this way 0)

A blanket of clouds

Petronas Twin Tower 2 shrouded in mist
Is that cotton candy edible? Yum
"Cloud City" (no, it's only the KL Tower)
Took these shots at 7.30 a.m. from my office windows on Monday. As usual, I didn't lug my trusty (and heavy) camera at the time, but a friend was kind enough to lend me his spanking new Olympus mju400. Thanks Erv You're so right... the KL (Kuala Lumpur) Tower scene looks like a view from Cloud City of Star Wars fame.

this is actually quite unusual for me. to be honest i never see kuala lumpur shrouded in clouds. good pictures mate!!!!! Mon 5-Jul-2004 11:06

Went to the Orchid Gardens last Sunday. The flowers and landscaping were really lovely. Just when I thought there was nothing more than buildings and dust in Kuala Lumpur. Anyhoo, I'm sure I will be visiting again, because I didn't have enough time the first time around to really take pictures of everything. In the meantime, feel free to comment on the photos. Technical criticism is also welcome. Note: All photos were taken at 4 mp or better with a digital SLR - Minolta DiMAGE 7Hi
