These pictures were taken at the wet market in my sleepy coastal hometown, Kuala Terengganu. The sight and smells (fresh fish, wet veggies and unfortunately clogged drains) reminded me of childhood days, when I frequented the market accompanying my mother on her weekly grocery excursions. Little has changed since those days.

This entry marks my 5-month absence from Fotopages. I haven't had access since the damn internet police at work blocked my beloved Fotopages. Anyhoo, with some help from a friend's laptop and free Internet at Starbucks, I am now back online, though not as often as I'd like to be. My latest craze is experimenting with Lomo effects using Photoshop, and I must say I do like the results! Oo, I changed my camera too. I am now a proud owner of a Canon EOS 300D (Rebel Digital). Could life possibly get any better

Butterflies

|
I visited the Kuala Lumpur butterfly park last weekend. The garden, flowers and overall landscaping were very beautiful, but there weren't as many butterflies as I'd thought. I sure am glad I found this hidden gem, though! I still say butterflies are freaky (and horribly flighty!) little creatures... methinks they are better appreciated via photographs
